DR ERIN HOLLOWAY
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Dr Erin Holloway is a clinical psychologist who has worked extensively in community services. Being trauma informed and inclusive in her approach is important. Erin is friendly, warm, and non-judgmental and will work with you to create a safe space to connect and explore.

Erin is trained in a variety of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), Positive Psychology, Neurotherapy, and will work with you to find the approach that works. She enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, and adults across a broad range of issues including trauma, anxiety & panic, depression, and coping behaviours (self-harm, addictions, suicidal thought). She also works with caregivers to support children and young people.

Erin works independently from Acorn Psychology and sets her own rates. While largely similar to those of Acorn, if you would like an accurate cost estimate please contact us for further detail. 

CLAUDIA GEILS
PSYCHOLOGIST / CLINICAL REGISTRAR

Claudia is a psychologist with experience working with adults and young people across different settings, including private practice and public settings. She has a keen interest in ensuring her therapeutic approach is warm and compassionate. Claudia has previously worked with issues including anxiety and stress, depression, complex trauma, early life trauma, and emotional regulation difficulties. Claudia is interested in working with people experiencing a broad range of psychological disorders, and is passionate about how experiences in childhood shape behavior and one's view of the world. She also has an interest in body image concerns. Claudia works from a client centered approach and practices from a CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) perspective as well as adopting a Schema informed approach and mindfulness.

 
 
 

MEG BLACKIE
PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Meg is a provisional psychologist working under the supervision of Dr Kelly Murray whilst completing her master’s in clinical psychology and PhD at Swinburne University. Meg takes a collaborative approach to working with her clients, involving them in deciding the therapeutic approach best suited to them, to ensure they feel comfortable, understood, and supported in sessions. Meg enjoys helping clients through many of life’s challenges, though has a special interest in working with clients experiencing anxiety related disorders, including those with a history of trauma. Meg is available on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and it is not necessary to have a referral to see her (please see the Fees and Rebates page for details on her fees).

SHANNON STOLAR
PSYCHOLOGIST / CLINICAL REGISTRAR

Shannon is a psychologist with experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across the public and community mental health sector. She adopts a person-centred approach and values creating a warm and compassionate therapeutic environment. Shannon has an interest in working with clients experiencing a range of psychological challenges and has experience working with issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, emotional regulation difficulties, and self-esteem concerns. She utilises a supportive and collaborative approach to help her clients express their concerns and achieve their personal goals. Shannon draws from evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) informed practices.

 
 
 

LYNN NG
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Lynn is a clinical psychologist with experience working with children, adolescents, and adults (including older adults) in community and hospital settings. She is committed to helping her clients navigate life's challenges and achieve their personal growth and mental wellbeing goals. She works with individuals with broad range of presentations such as depression, anxiety, attachment issues, life transitions, and interpersonal difficulties. Lynn believes in enabling individuals to be an advocate for themselves by harnessing their strengths to improve their quality of life. 

Lynn’s warmth and genuine care for her clients creates a safe and nonjudgemental space where individuals can process their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at a deeper level to foster insight, healing, and personal growth. Lynn takes a collaborative and holistic approach to therapy, tailoring her interventions to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual. She works from a range of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy (ST).

In addition to therapy, Lynn provides a range of psychological assessment for individuals. Lynn is also an eligible Medicare provider for Perinatal Non-directive Pregnancy Support Counseling (MBS: 81000).

She provides therapy in both English and conversational Mandarin.

When not at work, Lynn enjoys baking, cooking, and exploring nature with her family.

PENNY CROPPER
PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Penny is a provisional psychologist working under the supervision of Dr Kelly Murray while completing her masters in clinical psychology at Swinburne University. She enjoys working with clients experiencing a range of psychological challenges across the lifespan, with a particular interest in supporting children, young people and their families. Penny takes a collaborative, person-centred approach, and creates a supportive environment in which to support clients through life’s challenges. She primarily works within a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework, incorporating evidence-based treatments such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness.


 
 
 

DR KELLY MURRAY
PRACTICE DIRECTOR

Dr Kelly Murray is an experienced clinical psychologist and is a recognised provider of psychological services with health insurance companies and Medicare. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society, and the College of Clinical Psychologists and is an active member of the Clinical College, currently volunteering her time as State Chair. Kelly enjoys working with clients across the lifespan. Her style combines warmth and a professional approach informed by what emerging research tells us works best in the treatment and support of people experiencing mental health challenges. She also has an interest in early intervention and supporting healthy development of emotional competence in children. When not immersed in her love of psychology and supporting the team at Acorn, Kelly is a keen kayaking parent spectator, and enjoys hours spent on the banks of various rivers around Victoria.

Our reception team, Jane, Viv, Sam, Tayla and Emma will welcome you to the clinic. They are happy to make you a cup of tea or coffee on arrival, and will do everything possible to make your visit comfortable. If you have any appointment requests or changes they will be happy to help. If you would like to speak to a receptionist please phone in the morning or early afternoon on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, any time on Thursday until 7pm, or Saturday morning before 12pm. If you leave a message outside of our reception hours, a team member will return your call the following business day.
