We are a friendly and growing group of psychologists, passionate about giving our best in offering psychological support and assessment services to our local community in Canterbury and surrounds. We are well supported by professional onsite administrative staff who in addition to being committed to excellence in their official roles are kind and helpful.
Our team is collegiate and shares lunch together, have time to explore resources and develop skills collaboratively. We are very much a team and not individual practitioners who happen to share a space.
Our team members are employed under an employee rather contractor model. We offer generous packages, with the security of a salary, all leave benefits and PD allowance, and capacity to scale earnings if this is important to team members. We believe the employee model gives us the best chance of supporting and nurturing our team members, and offer extensive supervision options with regular support between formal supervision times.
Acorn Psychology offers placements to Master of Psychology (Clinical) students and values supporting the next generation of psychologists. We offer great supervision and mentoring, and in house PD, as well as support to attend external PD.
